  • Our studio is equipped with 4 RØDE PodMics, dynamic broadcast-quality microphones designed specifically for podcasting and crisp audio. Known for their rich, balanced sound and excellent clarity, these mics ensure every voice is captured with warmth and detail. Combined with their solid build and internal pop filter, they deliver professional audio with minimal handling noise - perfect for interviews, panel discussions, and solo recordings alike.

  • At our Manchester podcast studio, lighting is designed with flexibility in mind. The space is fitted with ceiling lights, LED strip lights, stand-up lights all with customisable colour options and control on brightness and tone. Whether you want a clean, professional look for interviews, a dynamic setup for video podcasts, or a tailored mood for branded content, our lighting can be adjusted to match your vision.

  • To power our productions, the studio is equipped with a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme and a Mac Mini. The ATEM Mini Extreme is a professional-grade switcher that allows seamless live camera switching, picture-in-picture layouts, and smooth transitions - ideal for multi-camera podcasts and video content. Paired with the speed and reliability of the Mac Mini, this setup ensures efficient recording, live streaming, and post-production workflows, giving your podcast a polished, broadcast-quality finish.

  • Ancoats Podcast Studio costs £80 per hour. We use a flat hourly rate, with bookings available from a minimum of 1 hour up to 8 hours. There are no hidden extras - your hire includes full access to everything in the studio: cameras, microphones, backdrops, and seating options and the recorded footage provided to you all at no additional charge.

  • Our studio comes fully equipped with everything you need to create professional podcasts and content. You’ll have access to 3 Sony A7III 4K cameras, 4 RØDE PodMics, professional studio lighting with customisable settings, a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme with Mac Mini for live recording and editing. A variety of backdrops and set options (including shelving units, LED slats, coloured rollers, and curtains) are also included, all at no extra cost.

  • You don’t need to worry about running the session yourself - a dedicated studio manager will be on hand throughout your booking. They’ll handle the recording, make setup recommendations to ensure you look and sound your best, and provide your finished files via a Google Drive link at the end.

  • Yes. Our studio is fully sound-treated to minimise outside noise and echo, giving you clean, professional-quality audio for your podcast or video recording.

  • At the end of your session, we’ll provide all your recorded files via a Google Drive link within 24 hours after recording. Files are stored for 7 days, so we recommend downloading and backing them up promptly.

  • Absolutely. Alongside podcast recording, our studio is designed for photography, videography, and content creation, with a choice of backdrops, lighting setups, and seating options included.
